Cyber Monday is a major online shopping event that takes place the Monday following Black Friday (the Friday after Thanksgiving in the U.S.). It was introduced in 2005 by the National Retail Federation (NRF) to encourage people to shop online and take advantage of exclusive discounts and promotions available on the internet. Over time, it has become one of the largest online shopping days of the year.
